Capital University - Ohio Village's Dickens of a Christmas

Help out at our annual Dickens of a Christmas event! If you are a first-time volunteer, please complete the attached release of claims/photo release and sign in the volunteer event sign in sheet. You can turn your paperwork and sign in prior to the al-call meeting in the Village Church meeting at 5pm. Costuming is optional for all roles, but required for some. If you need costuming, you must arrive at 4pm and coordinate with Ohio Village staff. See below for event details.

Dickens of a Christmas
Join us for a truly unique experience as we transport you back in time to a 1890s holiday celebration. Engage in a variety of heartwarming and fun-filled activities suitable for all ages. All visitors can delight in meeting Santa Claus and other characters, exploring the various vendors and crafts spread around town, and listening to enchanting music and stories. The event offers a perfect opportunity for families to create lasting memories and share the joy of the season. This year's holiday dinner and holiday brunch will be held on the second floor plaza of the Ohio History Center. Advance Ticketing required.

Welcome visitors to the event, help with line management, and provide wayfinding assistance. Historic dress not required.

Help lead craft activity stations during the event

Costumed Assistant
Dress in period-appropriate attire (Ohio Village can provide most, if not all, costuming), assist with simple historical games and activities, and answer questions about what the holiday season was like in the Victorian age.
