Herzog Brook Tree Planting Event
Wednesday, May 08 2024
Raritan Headwaters Association has partnered with the Morris County Parks Commission to improve the riparian buffer along the Herzog Brook at the Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center and will be planting 80 native trees and shrubs along the riverbank on May 8th from 10am-1pm.
RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. RHA and Morris County will be pre-drilling most holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register. When registering for this event, please also complete the Volunteer Release and Photo Release forms below. We will continue to provide updates by email closer to the event. Please reach out to Restoration Coordinator, Robert Lucas with questions rlucas@raritanheadwaters.org If you have any questions about volunteering for RHA, please email RHA's Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Newcomb at dnewcomb@raritanheadwaters.org
