Global Health Committee Holiday Gift Drive
This holiday season, Touro students can contribute to spreading joy and hope to individuals and families affected by interpersonal violence and trafficking in Orange and Sullivan Counties through the Fearless! Holiday Gift Program.
By participating, Touro students contribute to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by interpersonal violence and trafficking, many of whom experience significant physical and emotional trauma. Students will be able to work closely with the community to bring the holiday spirit to those who need to know they are not alone.
The drive will run from November 25 to December 11, offering a three-week period to collect items. A donation box will be conveniently located in the lobby near the dorm mailboxes.

1. Volunteers can claim 2 TOUCH hours maximum for a minimum donation.
Your minimum donation must be a value item <$10. eg. 1 bag of books can be the minimum donation for 1 TOUCH hour. Donating 2 bags would be 2 TOUCH hours. 3 bags of books would still be equal to 2 TOUCH hours.
Monetary donations do not qualify for TOUCH hours.
Students can claim a total of 10 TOUCH hours for donation drives for the year
2. Coordinators can claim 0.5 TOUCH hours per planning hour of the drive.
Coordinators can log planning and event hours together in Track It Forward but they need to clearly indicate in the notes section how many planning hours and the equivalent TOUCH hours along with the # of event hours. Ex. " 2 Planning hours (1 TOUCH Hour), + 2 TOUCH event hours = TOTAL 3 TOUCH Hours."
