Crosby Arboretum : GUIDED FOREST THERAPY WALK
Sunday, March 20 2022
Join Nadine Phillips for a relaxing Forest Therapy walk. Nadine is a certified Forest Therapy Guide in training with the International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance (INFTA). Deeply rooted in the Japanese concept of Shinrin-yoku, or “forest-air bathing”, Forest Therapy is an evidence-based public health practice considered to be a natural remedy to reduce stress and a pathway to a happier, healthier, and more rewarding life. Guided Forest Therapy walks combine a specific blend of complementary sensory, physical, and mental exercises in suitable forest surroundings. This inviting way of immersing our senses in the atmosphere of the forest is backed by significant medical and scientific research, and the plethora of health benefits are wide-reaching. If necessary to cancel due to inclement weather, you will be notified that morning. Space is limited. Members $10. Non-members $15.
