Thank you for volunteering with Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry!
WHAT: Join Urban Forestry's Tree Inventory Project for Grant Park's second workday to finish identifying, measuring, and mapping the trees of Grant Park. Trained Team Leaders will guide teams of 2-4 through scientific data collection.
WHERE: Grant Park, NE 36th Avenue and Brazee, Portland OR 97212. Meet in the park along the walking path off NE NE 36th Avenue.
WHEN: Saturday, June 29. Registration will open at 8:00 am. The workday will begin promptly at 8:30 and will end at 12 pm.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Trained Team Leaders will lead teams of 2-4 through scientific data collection as we identify, measure, and map the trees of Grant Park. No experience is necessary; we will provide all necessary training on site. Please wear close toed shoes and dress for the weather. This event will be held rain or shine. We recommend bringing a tote bag/backpack, hat, and water bottle. Families are welcome! Please leave dogs at home. Bring a friend!
