City of Chico, Parks Division, PALS Volunteers

Invasive Vegetation and Fire Fuels Reduction Day! (9:00 AM - noon ) Volunteers will meet with the California Climate Action Corps at the Campfire Council Ring, South 1 Mile on the northside of the bike path from Caper Acres (map attached). Activities will include removing invasive vegetation and learning about the physics of wildland fire and vertical fuel arrangements. Closed-toe shoes are required. Long pants and long sleeves are recommended. Please bring water, snacks, sun protection and leather gloves if possible. Tools are provided and gloves if needed.

Volunteers under 18 are required to fill out the attached volunteer application and submit prior to any volunteer activity.
