CANCELLED - VERBENA FIELDS VOLUNTEER FRIDAYS 9 am - noon. CANCELLED On the 26th, we will be having a Foraged Food Fling during our workday, sharing foods made with foraged and garden-grown ingredients to celebrate the foods we can glean right here in our community. All are welcomed to bring food to share, or just come as they are. Come taste, learn, and join in some land tending. "Volunteers will meet with local Mechoopda tribal member (s) and practitioners of Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) to learn about and participate in indigenous land management practices at Verbena Fields 1500 block of E. 1st Ave. . Closed-toe shoes are required. Tools and gloves are provided, but please bring them if possible. Rain cancels the event. Your RSVP acknowledges that you have read, understand and agree to the terms as described in the attached City of Chico release of liability.
