Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
Wednesday, February 01 2023
Holy Trinity School is looking for volunteers to assist in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atria on Wednesday mornings and afternoons for children in Pre-K through 2nd grade. Please consider sharing your gifts and talents with the children in the CGS program.
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a method of religious formation, drawn from the Montessori form of education. This hands-on approach to teaching the Catholic faith is rooted in Sacred Scripture and the tradition and liturgy of the Catholic Church. The children spend time in a special environment called an atrium. Through hands-on work with material designed and made just for them, they learn about the love the Good Shepherd has for them and that each of them is called by name into a relationship with Jesus, the Good Shepherd. They develop a deeper love and understanding of the liturgy through work with the gestures and prayers of the Holy Mass.
