World Relief Western New York

Goal: Fresh Food Shopping and Dry Goods for DRC family of 7 Location: World Relief Western NY and Price Rite Marketplace (1200 University Ave, Rochester, NY 14607) Time: Whenever works best for you during the day. Expect it to take 1-2 hours What to Expect: When you arrive at World Relief, a staff member will walk you into the Store Room, show you our intake form, show you the lists of items and food you are putting together, and walk you through the process of building a dry good kit, a cleaning kit, and a hygiene kit with the supplies in our store room. After you put together the kits, you will use one of our staff credit cards and drive to Price Rite (1200 University Ave, Rochester, NY 14607) to purchase the additional perishable goods. When you get back to World Relief, you will put the perishable food in a fridge we point out to you, give back the credit card and receipt, and be done for the day! This food will provide the necessary meals for the first few days a family is in Rochester! Additional Notes: See the attached document for the specific list of food for the family arriving. There is a section of "Halal Food" in the back of Price Rite.
