GSU COL Pro Bono Program

Project Description:
Assist Circuit Defender Jennifer Lewis to represent clients at Jail Court which includes taking applications, speaking with clients about bond, going over the warrant re: law, evidence, and advise on whether to have a preliminary hearing, bond motions in front of the judge, preliminary hearings and then talking with family afterward. This is an in-person commitment, and you must be able to report to Henry County Jail at 7:30am, located off 75 South, Exit 218. This is an in-person opportunity that will require a 3-hour commitment from 7:30 am to 10:30 am on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

*** This opportunity is only available to 3Ls who are certified under the Student Practice Act. Proof of certification is required.
