Immigration Day THIS SATURDAY!
Saturday, October 22 2016
Hello Everyone,
Immigration day is here again, October 22nd, 2016 and we are in need of a few volunteers! Immigration day is a day when our refugee families come to our office to receive help filling out all of their green card paper work. We have 2 shifts for immigration day, the first shift is intake which is where the volunteer helps refugee family get their paper work filled out, this shift starts at 9:00 and goes til 12:30-1:00. We actually have a local High School that is sending out a group of students to help us during this shift. So we could still use volunteers, but we are in greater need for volunteers during the second shift. The Second shift is Data Entry which is taking that paper work and putting it into the computer. It goes from 12:00-5:00. We are particularly in need of people who are tech savvy to help with the Data Entry shift. There is a short orientation that takes about 30 minutes that is required before volunteering with immigration day. That can be done October 22nd around 8:30am. If you are helping with Data Entry we will train you when you get here.
This is a great way to volunteer with us and a great way to love on and serve our refugee families. So, if you are available Saturday, October 22nd sign up on here or email Laura Boyd Myers at Lboyd@wr.org
Thank you so so much for the ways that you invest and love on our families we are so grateful for you and your partnership!
