Storybook Village
Saturday, June 17 2017
Join us to help promote early literacy and inspire children to read. Volunteer at the Ohio History Center’s Storybook Village event, where children’s favorite characters from popular kids’ books and television programs magically come to life!
This year Storybook Village is celebrating storytelling from around the world, and explores fairy tales and fables from a variety of cultures. While exploring the Ohio Village, kids can talk with Irish folk hero Finn MacCoul, help America’s Paul Bunyan search for his Blue Ox, visit the mysterious Baba Yaga from Russia and hear other stories from across the globe.
This event provides early literacy and school-readiness resources and fun activities by WOSU Public Media, library card sign-ups by the Columbus Metropolitan Library, and book check-outs through the Bookmobile and more.
