Storybook Village

Saturday, June 09 2018

Join us to help promote early literacy and inspire children to read. Volunteer at the Ohio History Center’s Storybook Village event, where children’s favorite characters from popular kids’ books and television programs magically come to life!

This year Storybook Village is exploring the rich history of Heroes and Villains in folklore from around the world. While traversing Ohio Village, families will encounter familiar faces like Cinderella and Prince Charming, but also some new villains like Peter Pan’s Captain Hook and the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.

This event provides early literacy and school-readiness resources and fun activities by WOSU Public Media, library card sign-ups by the Columbus Metropolitan Library, and book check-outs through the Bookmobile and more.
