Capital University Students Volunteer Opportunity - March Through Time

Join us for this fun and exciting opportunity to learn about Ohio's military history. Sign up to help with craft activities, games, and event preparation. If you are a first-time volunteer, please complete the attached release of claims/photo release and sign in the volunteer event sign in sheet. You can turn your paperwork and sign in prior the pre-event volunteer meeting.

Have you ever wondered what made the modern soldier the way they are? Explore the rich military history of America and the world during March Through Time! Throughout the day you’ll be able to travel throughout time as you speak with reenactors from numerous time periods, ranging from the Middle Ages to the Modern Day, and engage with hands-on activities. You can even explore the world of miniature war gaming, which brings the knowledge of strategy and history to the board gaming table! Military displays for March Through Time will only be available on Sunday, November 12.
Alongside our military displays, we’ll be temporarily shift Ohio Village to the year 1946, giving you the chance to experience a slice of life from the perspective of a returning GI! See what America was like when soldiers returned from WWII, talk with the men and women about their experiences, and explore an interactive day in the 1940s. This post-WWII experience will be available both Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12.
