Fire Academy is a day camp for young campers to learn their way around the fire house and gather other resources and fire prevention information and have fun while doing it!
Volunteers are needed to help with check-in, snacks, general guidance with campers during rotation.
NOTE** Fire Academy is outside. It does get very hot and humid.
Responsibilities:
Assist with Camp Activities: Help set up, supervise, and facilitate various camp activities, including fire safety drills, equipment demonstrations, and team-building exercises.
Supervise Campers: Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by providing attentive supervision and guidance during camp activities.
Support Instructors: Work alongside professional firefighters and camp instructors to provide a seamless learning experience for the campers.
Encourage Participation: Motivate and encourage campers to participate actively in all activities, fostering a positive and inclusive camp environment.
Administrative Tasks: Assist with registration, check-in/check-out procedures, and other administrative duties as needed.
First Aid Assistance: Be prepared to offer basic first aid support, if necessary, with training provided prior to the camp.
