Hermosa Drive Elementary-Summer Garden Maintenance
Monday, July 30 2018
Volunteers will be watering, weeding and harvesting 2 gardens at Hermosa Drive Elementary School during summer break.
Hermosa Drive's garden provides students with fresh vegetables for their daily salad bar! Hermosa has partnered with Cal State Fullerton U-ACRE program to teach students the importance of gardening and sustainability. Currently the students in Garden Club with CSUF U-ACRE water the gardens.
Harvesting of the vegetables will be done by a designated teacher and will be donated to POH during summer break.
Please meet at the Hermosa Drive Elementary Garden located through the breezeway that has an "Office" sign and proceed behind portables on the left next to Classroom 18. The school custodian-Sergio Flores, Aimee Johnson or Evan Johnson will meet you to give you the water key and to show you what needs to be watered and weeded.
