The Athenian School

California has one of the largest economies in the world and yet, in spite of our amazing agricultural abundance, 1 in 11 people–and 1 in 8 children–are facing hunger. The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano provides 3,500,000 meals each month. You will help distribute fresh produce as part of the Community Produce Program.

Transportation will depart Athenian is 7:45am with a pickup option at Walnut Creek BART. Anticipated return to campus is 11am. Closed-toe shoes are required. Food distribution occurs outside, please dress accordingly.

This is a 10th Grade Service Activity. You will need to participate in pre-service and post-service sessions on November 6 and November 13 during Wednesday Community Service.
