Interested in helping local small businesses become more sustainable? Join us at our Volunteer Training to discover how the San Mateo County Green Business Program is helping businesses reduce their environmental impacts and save money, and what you can do to support the growing network of certified green businesses! At this training, you will:
• Learn how to reduce your community'senvironmental impacts by informing small businesses about the Green Business Program
• Develop a strategy for canvassing businesses in your area
• Sign up for a one hour canvassing shift to speak directly with businesses (to be completed one week after the training)
• Meet people with a shared interest of reducing your community's environmental impact!
Volunteer Commitment: Attend the January 20th training and sign up and complete a one hour canvassing shift talk one-on-one with businesses in an area of your choice. Shift must be completed within one week of the training. Volunteers will submit a collection form with a list of businesses they visited to Green Business Coordinator, Emi Hashizume at ehashizume@smcgov.org
