Tree Stewards of Arlington and Alexandria

Come help plant trees (and coach community members in how to plant trees) at Alexandria's Ben Brenman Park.

Community Volunteers will show up at 9:45 am to sign in and gather and then the planting will kick off with a planting demo or demo(s) at 10:00 am sharp.

Tree Stewards are needed for three shifts:
8:00 - 9:55 am - Set up activity for planting - distributing bags of mulch and water containers at the planting locations throughout the park, setting up the table and putting out the tools at the meet up location, and then greeting community volunteers and getting them to sign in. (Please note that for set up, we need at least some volunteers who can lift the 5-gallon water cans to carry them a short distance from the truck to the tree planting location.)

10:00 am - 1:00 pm - Planting trees and teaching/coaching community volunteers how to plant trees.

1:00 - 1:30 pm - Clean up (loading tools/picking up trash)
