Tree I.D. Walk w/Alonso Abugattas at Arlington's Barcroft Park
Sunday, March 05 2023
Please come out and work on your tree identification skills with Arlington Naturalist (and nature educator extraordinaire!) Alonso Abugattas.
The walk will be in Arlington’s Barcroft Park from 10:00am to Noon on Sunday, March 5th.
You can use the following link to get to the closest parking lot at Barcroft: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Barcroft+Community+Center/@38.8503867,-77.1013077,79m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x89b7b15566bf88b7:0xca9162395c22874b!8m2!3d38.8505519!4d-77.1017639!16s%2Fg%2F11c52p1zcx
The walk itself, however, will start at the park’s picnic pavilion as shown on the attached map.
So please consider getting to the parking lot by about 9:50 because the walk to the picnic shelter will take a few minutes.
These is a fantastic opportunity sharpen your winter (and early spring?) tree i.d. skills.
If you have any questions about the walk or the meet up location, or if you need help with directions, you can reach out to Tree Steward Bonnie Petry at (703) 819-2653.
