Tree Planting at the Alexandria Animal Shelter
Sunday, October 15 2023
Come lend a hand planting native trees around the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria’s parking lot and adjacent open space.
This will be a great opportunity for tree stewards trainees to learn to plant a tree, and for experienced tree stewards to both plant/dig and to teach community members how to plant trees.
The trees we will be planting will be seven-gallon container trees.
Please note that we ask folks to show up for sign-in at 9:45am, with a prompt 10:00am kick off with a tree planting lesson and safety talk.
We expect this event to run until around 12:00pm.
The address for Alexandria’s animal shelter is: 4101 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, VA 22304
