Tree Planting at the Alexandria Animal Shelter
Sunday, October 22 2023
Come help us finish out our planting of native trees around the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria’s parking lot and adjacent open space.
This will be a great opportunity for tree stewards trainees to learn to plant a tree, and for experienced tree stewards to both plant/dig and to teach community members how to plant trees.
The trees we will be planting will be five and seven-gallon container trees.
Please note that we ask folks to show up for sign-in at 9:45am, with a prompt 10:00am kick off with a tree planting lesson and safety talk.
We expect this event to run until around 12:00pm.
The address for Alexandria’s animal shelter is: 4101 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, VA 22304

Lastly... please park in the parking lot for Cameron Run Regional Park's Great Waves Water Park just on the East side of the animal shelter so as to ensure that we don't disrupt the animal shelter's operations.
