Crossing Guards
Hello! Thank you for volunteering your time to assist our students in moving to and from campus safely. Be sure to record your volunteer hours in Track it Forward (½ hour per shift!)
Please arrive at the beginning of your shift when traffic begins to build up.
Mornings: 8:00am-8:30am
Afternoons: 2:50pm-3:20pm
When you arrive on campus, please pick up a safety vest & stop sign from the front porch and report to one of these two locations:
1) If you are stationed at the crosswalk at West Amazon, please help students cross the road safely to and from the trail.
2) If you are stationed at the crosswalk in front of Building B, please remind drivers of these important details:
-In the morning, please encourage drivers to move all the way through the driveway before dropping their child off.
-IN THE AFTERNOON, THE DRIVEWAY OPENS AT 3:05.
Please stand at the road with the stop sign until the driveway opens and then move to the Building B crosswalk.
If the parent/guardian has an arrangement with the office to pick up their child before 3:05, they may enter the parking lot and park in front of the office to pick up their child.
The first wave of students from building B typically exit the building at 3:00 (sometimes dismissal from individual classes runs late). After they cross the road, the first wave of cars may enter the parking lot.
Please make sure to wave cars forward until the first loop of the parking lot is full with cars. The next wave of kids may then cross the road. Continue with this process until all students have exited campus.
All cars must pull ALL THE WAY FORWARD so traffic doesn’t get backed up.
Thank you for helping keep all students safe and keeping drop-offs and pick-ups efficient.
