Library Team (Ongoing)
LIBRARY TEAM
Completes ongoing maintenance and support of the Ridgeline Library.
DESCRIPTION
The Library Team is an organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic group of volunteers who help with long and short-term projects for the library. These projects require attention to detail and support for our library in the absence of a library staff member.
Our volunteers love reading and love sharing that joy with Ridgeline students. Our team members meet 2-3 times per year as a group and, otherwise, work independently on the ongoing library tasks or specific projects as needed.
VISION
The Library Team exists to support the cultivation of our book collection, student and teacher book lending, and keeping our library a place of joy, inclusivity, and learning. Giving the gift of your volunteer time keeps our library running!
Current Projects
Library Team volunteers may do the following:
Designing and printing signs for the library (1-2x per year)
Assisting Lower El classes with book checkout (Weekly)
Cataloging new books (as needed)
Book repair (as needed)
Removing unwanted donations/delivering them to Little Free Libraries or St. Vinnie's (2-4x/year)
Possible Future Projects
Weekly dusting and tidying (removing books from under and behind shelves)
Leading a Middle School book review project
