Latino Home Fair
Saturday, July 16 2022
What:
Did you know that homeowners that have lived in their homes for 5 years or less are more likely to plant new trees on their property? Help Urban Forestry expand the urban forest by tabling at Latino Home Fair hosted by Hacienda CDC. Volunteers will promote pre-registration of our popular Yard Tree Giveaway events in the fall. We have merchandise and flyers that you will distribute to help you get people to register. A short training as well as a list of talking points will be provided to brief you on the Yard Tree Giveaway program to make sure you feel prepared.
Every year Hacienda brings together trusted businesses and organizations to help first-time homebuyers on the path to homeownership.
When:
Sat, July 16, 2022 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Where:
De La Salle North Catholic HS
4300 Northeast Killingsworth Street

Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry's mission is to manage and ensure Portland's urban forest infrastructure for current and future generations. Portland’s urban forest consists of 220,000 street trees, 1.2 million park trees, and innumerable private property trees. Urban Forestry is involved in managing or regulating all of these trees to differing degrees. Urban Forestry staff issue permits for planting, pruning, and removal of all public and some private trees and are on call 24/7 to respond to tree emergencies.
