Community Addiction Awareness Vigil
Thursday, September 05 2019
The Third Annual Addiction Awareness Vigil is an event that brings together our community in support of those who have lost a loved one to - or know someone struggling with - addiction. Organized by the New Canaan Parent Support Group and New Canaan Community Foundation.
When volunteers arrive to volunteer, they should check in with YMCA Rep Nicki Jezarian.
The goal of the event is to increase understanding about addiction, and about how all in the community can help. Enjoy live music while accessing resources and posting a tribute on our Hope & Remembrance Wall. Listen to authentic stories from young people and parents. Participate in the candlelight vigil, led by leaders of our local faith community. Event location is 6 South Avenue. In case of rain, location is St. Aloysius School Gym, 33 South Avenue. The event itself is from 7:00-8:15 PM.
