Thank you all again for offering your time to participate on the Cheer Squad for Night to Shine 2021’s SHINE THRU! We are excited to have you share your joyful energy and enthusiasm for the “SHINE THRU" parade that will take place at the Waveny Park in New Canaan on Saturday, February 6th from 1 to 3 PM (Snowdate: Sunday February 7th same time/same place).

Since Night to Shine will be a virtual event this year, the purpose of the “SHINE THRU” is to create some pre-party excitement, and to provide all the guests with an opportunity to pick up a special gift box for the virtual event on Friday, 2/12.

We are looking for 8 SLOB volunteers to help on the "Welcome Squad". The Welcome Squad is a branch of the Cheer squad. Boys will be paired in groups of two and then strategically placed at the entrance to Waveny Park and along the route into the park to help welcome and direct the cars/guests to the circle in front of Waveny house for the Shine Thru Parade. PLEASE ARRIVE AT 12:30 to check in and get to your locations prior to the start of the parade. DRESS WARMLY!

Once read, please confirm that you are able to commit to be available to help on both dates - regular scheduled and snow date, then fill out and submit the required questions on the google form. Due to the pandemic, the health and safety of every guest and volunteer is a priority, so it is necessary that we have responses to the required questions on the form from each volunteer participant. This may require having you forward this email and/or link to those individuals who will be participating in your family/group as all volunteers included in your group/family must respond separately.
