13th Street District

“Hey, You Guys!” The 13th Street District is excited to announce an outdoor movie night featuring the great American adventure comedy, “The Goonies!” thanks to our sponsors Kimball & Beecher Family Dentistry in Marshalltown and our friends of 13th Street, Marshalltown Parks and Recreation.

On Tuesday, August 13th at 8pm, the classic film will be screened in the 13th Street Park Plaza east of the Futsal courts located at 222 N. 13th Street in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Bring lawn chairs and come any time after 7:30pm to stake your spot for the free showing. Feel free to come earlier to play at West End Park or the Futsal Courts too!

“The Goonies” is about a band of adventurous kids who take on the might of a property developing company which plans to destroy their home to build a country club. When the children discover an old pirate map in the attic, they follow it into an underground cavern in search of lost treasure but come up against plenty of dangerous obstacles along the way.

Refreshments of pop and water will be served up by the 13th Street District, popcorn will be available for purchase by Lillie Mae Chocolates and Mom's Ice Cream for a cold summer treat!
