Volunteer Trail Maintenance in Upper Park with Chico Velo Trailworks
Saturday, June 04 2022
This work session will focus on brushing the overgrown trails on the south side of Upper Bidwell Park. Brushing involves cutting and removal of overgrown vegetation from the trail corridor. We will be meeting at the Trash Line Trailhead at 8AM on Highway 32 and then hiking to the worksite (https://goo.gl/maps/amo56hLoedvYzfC89). We will focus on the Bloody Pin Trail and Legacy Trail if time allows. Please wear long pants, long sleeves, closed-toe shoes, sun glasses and bring snacks and plenty of water. Volunteers will need to be capable of hiking multiple miles. Tools will be provided and no experience is necessary. Volunteers can expect to learn how to properly maintain trails. This workday is remote and requires hiking multiple miles.
