VCOM Louisiana

10th annual community awareness event hosted by Amerihealth Caritas Louisiana on the Move, the City of Tallulah, and the Tallulah Police Department at Wright Elementary school in Tullalah LA, an underserved rural community. This is an annual community outreach event that advocates against violence and promoting empowerment. The event will start off with a peaceful march and have a wide variety of activities at the school including family fitness, live DJ, painting, door prizes, free food and fresh fruit.

VCOM students are asked to volunteer by measuring blood pressures and demonstrating CPR for adults and children. This event is split up into two shifts to account for the drive and volunteer time. Dr. Flowers will set up equipment and mannequins prior to our arrival. We will not participate in the parade. If necessary, there is a link down below to refresh your memory on how to do CPR for adults and infants. In addition, please wear a VCOM shirt/polo if possible.
