AAAJ-LA Volunteer Poll Monitoring - Online Training for LA and Orange County
Thursday, May 26 2022
Thank you for your interest in being a volunteer poll monitor with Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Los Angeles (Advancing Justice-LA) this June 2022 election. Volunteers will help us ensure that all vote centers across the county are disability and language accessible, and that voters are able to vote confidently and comfortably. Volunteers will be able to contact Advancing Justice-LA staff at any time for support.
We welcome all volunteers-no experience is necessary. We ask poll monitors to commit to visiting at least 3 vote centers between May 28 and June 7, but welcome more. You may visit those centers on one day, or over several days, depending on your preference. Observing 3 vote centers in one day should take approximately 4-5 hours.
We require all poll monitors to attend an online training, approximately 1 hour. The next trainings will be Tuesday May 24th and Thursday May 26th, both at 6pm.
Please note: To ensure the safety of voters, poll workers, and our volunteers, we strongly encourage all volunteers to wear face masks when monitoring vote centers.
