UCLA Law

Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) operates three court-based clinics to provide domestic violence survivors with assistance in applying for restraining orders against their abusers. LAFLA offers both remote and in-person clinic opportunities for volunteers to help survivors complete the domestic violence restraining order (DVRO) forms, declarations, and fee waivers (in pro per) under the supervision of a LAFLA attorney over a 3-4 hour period on clinic mornings.
We invite UCLA Law to join us at our Santa Monica DVRO Clinic and help us serve our community. Volunteers will get first-hand experience with conducting live interviews with clients, providing legal information, and drafting petitions for self-represented litigants seeking protection under the Domestic Violence Prevention Act (DVPA).
