This class is for volunteers interested in patrolling the shores along the sound on Hatteras Island in search of stranded cold stun turtles this winter. We will provide an overview about cold stunning, practice completing a stranding report, and discuss when and where to focus patrols and communication tools. This is primarily for new responders but those wishing for the in-depth review are welcome as well. (Highly seasoned field patrol volunteers see Cold Stun Field Training 201).
