Cold Stun Staging Site Training is for all volunteers interested in helping at the Staging Site located on Hatteras Island in Buxton. We will provide an overview about cold stunning, go over how to document and prepare turtles for transport, and review completing a stranding report. Training will take place in person at the Buxton Back Road Staging Site. Volunteers who have previously volunteered onsite at the staging center may attend through a zoom link. New volunteers and those who have not been to the staging site for a few seasons should attend in-person. If your schedule does not allow you to attend in-person, you may attend the zoom session.
