This training is for N.E.S.T. volunteers who want to patrol for cold stun sea turtles in the field. You should only register if you live south of Oregon Inlet.

There is a new stranding form and process, and both experienced and new volunteers need to attend. The first session is intended for experienced volunteers and will cover completing the new stranding form. You can also pick up supplies, meet new patrol team members, and ask any questions.

The second session is for new volunteers and we will provide an overview of cold stun stranding response. Finally, we will discuss when and where to patrol the shoreline looking for cold stun sea turtles and the different communication tools we use to help organize volunteers during the season.
