Turtle Trot 5K

Wednesday, June 22 2022

At the BHI Conservancy's Turtle Trot 5K, participants can run as fast or as slow as they'd like as they move through the island's ancient maritime forest and over the pristine beaches! All proceeds support the BHI Conservancy's mission of fostering community-based barrier island conservation, education, and preservation - including our nationally-recognized Sea Turtle Protection Program.

As a volunteer, you will be tasked with helping setup for the Turtle Trot 5k, table different stations, and help break down equipment after the race is over. Possible volunteer shifts include: handing out race shirts and bibs, tabling the water station, calling out runner numbers at the finish line, and recording time. There will also be BHIC staff and interns who will manage personnel and help with the setup and break down of tents, tables, and water stations.

We appreciate any and all volunteers for these major events throughout the summer!
