Storybook Village

Saturday, June 08 2019

Join us to help promote early literacy and inspire children to read. Volunteer at the Ohio History Center’s Storybook Village event, where children’s favorite characters from popular kids’ books and television programs magically come to life!

This year Storybook Village is exploring the “magic of storytelling” with an emphasis on “magic.” While traversing Ohio Village, families will encounter familiar faces like Cinderella and Prince Charming, but also some new characters like Merlin from Arthurian legend and the Slavic monster slayer Marya Morevna.

This event provides early literacy and school-readiness resources, fun activities, library card sign-ups with the Columbus Metropolitan Library, and much more.
