daCi Conference Floor Monitors
Friday, July 28 2017
Make sure participants are leaving their shoes, food, and water bottles outside the Tanner studios. NO FOOD INSIDE THE Marriott Center for Dance (MCD) BUILDING AT ALL. WATER BOTTLES ONLY. Assist teachers as needed. Assist with first-aid if needed. Check in with lead and replacement monitor before you leave. (MCD just check with replacement.) Because of the snacks and public art responsibilities that are part of some shifts, you cannot sign-up for two consecutive shifts, but you can sign-up for every other shift (for example, 8:30-11:00 am and 10:15 am - 12:00 pm doesn't work, but 8:30-11:00 am and 1:00-3:00 pm does).
*There will individual group chaperones wandering around, they CAN help but are not expected to.
MCD monitors: Between classes, please stand outside the building entrance as a ‘landmark’ for incoming participants and help direct to studio spaces.
For Monitors between 1:00-5:45 pm – You will also be assisting with snacks between classes or encouraging participation in the collaborative art pieces throughout the Tanner building. Job descriptions below.
Snacks:
Gather snack & garbage can from downstairs kitchen (Tanner) or designated area in the MCD building (TBD), and take outside to the snack area (Tanner – Back steps, MCD – south facing doors). Attend to snack table, try to keep participants from taking more than one. Clean up after snack and take garbage and left-over snacks back inside. After snack, relieve the previous monitor.
Collaborative Public Art:
Lead is Misha Bergman. During breaks between classes, encourage participation in community collaborative art pieces and watch over supplies. Touch base with Misha Bergman with any questions or for any other tasks. When designated time is over, relieve the previous monitor.
