Hidden Valley Garden Volunteer
Wednesday, March 13 2019
The children have been watching and waiting for treasures to appear in the garden from their planting in the fall. Flowers have been especially beautiful to pick and enjoy in bouquets, and the mint tastes delicious to tongues ready to explore.
We would like to keep offering our Garden Days for the children and parent volunteers. During this time, children selected for the opportunity to garden will have snack together (outside, weather permitting) and freely explore the garden- tending to plants, tasting what's grown, planting new life. We ask that parent volunteers join us from 9-10am; we will sit together for morning meeting, enjoy snack and then get to work in the garden. Ideally 1-2 parents each week will work with children in the garden, feeling the dirt, inspecting the plants, discovering bugs and blooms!
