Fullerton Service League of Boys

United Kids SOLFul is a free, summer day camp for educationally at-risk elementary students (entering 1st-8th grade) that provides academic and creative activities to help close the learning gap during the summer. Both ADULT and YOUTH volunteers are needed to assist in camp activities including arts, sports, cooking, and more.
***OC United prefers volunteers who can attend 2-3 days per week during the 3-week camp for a total of 8 or more shifts ***
However, it would be great if you can volunteer every day. The time commitment requested of the volunteers is meant to provide some stability and continuity for the student campers attending the summer camp.

Both morning and afternoon shifts are available on each day of the camp. Volunteers may mix and match the shifts for signup as long as they each sign up for 8 or more shifts during the camp, and work at least 2 shifts per week.

Please follow the steps below to register:
Step 1. Sign up on Track it Forward for each of the shifts you plan to work for.
Step 2. If you are new to Solful, fill out a volunteer application BY JUNE 12TH at https://ocunited.org/volunteerapp/ and follow the application process.
Step 3: Sign up for the Mandatory Training Session on Wednesday June 19, 5-8pm on Track it Forward. There is a recorded Zoom video option if you can't attend in-person. You will receive 3 volunteer hours for attending the training session.

Snack will be provided at the camp to the youth volunteers. Bring your own water or water bottle.
Dress Code: Blue SLOBs T-Shirt & closed-toe shoes
Hours Earned Per Shift: 5 hours

*If you have volunteered at SOLFul summer camp in the past and submitted an application to OC United already, then you do not need to go through the volunteer application process again. Please email Debbie at DebbieHerdrich@gmail.com by June 12, 2024 that your volunteer process was completed in the past.
