Assist with Ski for Free

Ski-for-Free Opening Tasks
• Arrive 15 minutes prior to start time
• Open workshop door and garage door and turn on lights
• Move table parallel to front of garage door
• Lay carpet strips in front of table
• Put out Event Sign-in sheet and pen; enter date on sheet
• Put out donation basket with seed money
• Turn on propane heaters, if desired
• Clear snow off of benches
• Start bonfire
• Put kicksleds outside
• Take SFF sign to the road
• Remember to ask each party to sign-in on Event Sign-in Sheet
• As people take equipment, remind them that items must be returned by closing time
• If offering hot chocolate, go to CLC for water and set up area

Closing Duties
• Reverse of above; leave carpet unrolled to dry, if need be
• Enter your volunteer hours on Volunteer Sign-in Sheet found on Volunteer Counter by door
• Leave $18 in basket for seed money; take other donations to the CLC with a note of amount and date. If CLC isn’t open, you can find a SFF$ envelope in Nick’s top desk drawer in heated area of workshop. Leave the money there.
• Most importantly, TURN OFF PROPANE HEATERS both at the tank and at the top dial. If you are uncertain if you’ve done this correctly, contact staff at the CLC or at the numbers below.
• Close garage door and lock workshop door.
