OCA Asian Pacific American Advocates Chinatown Cleanup

OCA Asian Pacific American Advocates is a national organization dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs). Their Oakland chapter organizes a cleanup of Oakland’s Chinatown on the second Sunday of each month. Athenian began participating during COVID and has established a strong relationship with the leaders of the program.
Transportation will depart Athenian at 10am with pick up available from the Lafayette and Rockridge BART stations. Lunch is not provided; however, snacks will be available. Anticipated return to campus is 3pm.
This is a 10th Grade Service Activity. You will need to attend pre-service and post-service sessions during Wednesday Community Service on October 9 and October 23.
