Neshanic River Tributary - East Amwell Township Tree Planting Event

Thursday, May 15 2025

Raritan Headwaters Association has partnered with New Jersey Conservation Foundation and Sourland Conservancy to improve the riparian buffer along a Neshanic River Tributary in East Amwell Township and will be planting 225 native trees and shrubs along the riverbank on May 15th from 9:00am – 4:00pm. We have set a rain date of May 16th from 9:00am – 4:00pm.

RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. RHA will be pre-drilling holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register to help us with our planning efforts. When registering for this event, please also complete the Volunteer Release form below. We will continue to provide updates by email closer to the event. Please reach out to Restoration Coordinator, Robert Lucas with questions rlucas@raritanheadwaters.org If you have any questions about volunteering for RHA, please email RHA's Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Newcomb at dnewcomb@raritanheadwaters.org
