Tree Stewards of Arlington and Alexandria

TS Trainees will have an opportunity to learn techniques of Structural Pruning and discover ways TS work in parks. Tree Stewards Jan Hull and John Stewart will lead this event. We will examine young and mature trees and apply best practices in pruning. Appropriate tools and their care will be discussed; you may bring your own favorites for discussion. We will be doing more observing of trees and pointing out where cuts would be best than cutting of trees. Wear appropriate clothing, shoes for walking on uneven surfaces and bring water.

Current Tree Stewards (up to 5) are invited to come meet trainees or for pruning review. Both Trainees and Tree Stewards must register for this event.
