Tree Stewards of Arlington and Alexandria

Whether you are an experienced tree steward or a tree steward trainee, come lend a hand planting native trees on the edges of the meadow in Alexandria's Ben Brenman Park.

We will gather at 9:45am for sign-in and kick off the planting at 10:00am sharp with a tree planting lesson/review and safety talk.

For newbies, we will cover both the "how" and the "why" of planting, staking/tying, mulching, and watering.

We will be working with 5- and 7-Gallon container trees.

For those that are interested, we can also discuss the ins and outs of initiating tree plantings and other projects in the City of Alexandria.

We will be meeting up next to the soccer field parking lot in Ben Brenman Park.
