According to the LA county department of health, 20% of low-income households in the Pomona community face food insecurity. With a population as diverse as Pomona the inability to access healthy foods is clearly a prevalent worry for many families. . Pomona Valley Food Bank is a 501(c) non-profit organization that provides low-income families with access to healthier diets that include fruits and vegetables. We will volunteer with the food bank putting these packages together on April 1st.
