Growing Roots Urban Farm (Hosted by: Pediatric Interest Group)

Growing Roots vision is to provide a space where people can connect, feel safe, and practice sustainably growing their own food. Through true community involvement and localizing the food system, they aim to provide low-income and minority populations with very affordable if not free fresh and local produce. In this way, they promote personal, social, and environmental health in the local communities.

Note there are no restrooms on site
Participants must sign the liability waiver (will be sent).
Participants should wear outdoor appropriate clothing with closed toed shoes and are encouraged to bring their own gardening gloves if they have them.
Individuals should bring their own water bottle and sun protection if needed
Activities on that day may include: weeding, harvesting, mulching, sowing seeds, compost turning and/or pruning.
