Holiday Mailbox Assembly Workshop to Feed Hungry Kids (Corporal Work of Mercy)
Saturday, November 30 2019
Each year, St. Aloysius participates in Feed My Starving Children in the spring -- to raise money for the food we pack, the “Mailbox Brigade” has become a community tradition in New Canaan and a display of caring. Pura Vida for Children and the Pura Vida Club of NCHS are partnering for the 11th year. All money raised helps pay for the food we will pack at our annual community ‘Feed My Starving Children’ food packing event in the Spring.
They need help in making/delivering the mailbox decorations at Grace Farms -- this is a parent/child activity and need to sign up here AND email Tiffany Begoon to get on the schedule at Tbegoon@aol.com. You or another adult guardian must accompany your child.
You may claim 2 hours of a Corporal Work of Mercy as your work will ultimately feed our hungry brothers and sisters. Feel free to give your time for 2 shifts … if you do that, you can claim the extra two hours as Other Service.
No credit for this, but if you find it in your heart to support this cause financially, become a sponsor and they will decorate your mailbox with fresh greenery, topped with a festive red bow as a THANK YOU for joining the cause. These make beautiful gifts for friends and neighbors as well. We will include a gift note from your family.
$100 feeds a family of 4 for a month

$1,000 feeds a mom and 3 children for a year!
