THEY HAVE ASKED US TO SET UP THE GINGERBREAD VILLAGE ON MONDAY AT 1PM - PLEASE DROP YOUR COMPLETED HOUSES IN THE TUDOR HOUSE SUNDAY ANY TIME OR MONDAY BY 12 NOON. THERE WILL BE A CHECK IN LIST SO WE KNOW YOUR HOUSE IS HERE! THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!

This is an at-home project. Purchase a gingerbread house at your favorite local grocery store, Costco, Michaels, Walmart. If you google Michaels coupons, there is usually one you can use! Construct your house, decorate it (you may want to use additional candies and food products in addition to what is in the kit), wrap it festively in clear cellophane and tie it with a ribbon. Your constructed house should be dropped off in the Tudor House BY DECEMBER 13.

We will be setting up a Christmas Village -- so be creative -- besides a simple house -- perhaps you could make a store, post office, church, restaurant, gas station, town hall. Something unique to New Canaan! Be creative! The seniors at School House will so appreciate your loving display of care and kindness which we know always brightens their day and brings them such joy in the Advent and Christmas seasons!

When you return your decorated house - please check off your child's name so that we know who has returned them. Again, please wrap it in clear wrapping.

Students will earn parish service for assembling and decorating the house. It is fine to take credit for the amount of time you spend on this project, although you should be able to complete this task in no more than 2 hours. PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP TO DO ONE GINGERBREAD HOUSE PER FAMILY! SIBLINGS ARE ASKED TO WORK TOGETHER!
