Christ is Alive Essay Contest

Christ is alive in 2023, and children are recognizing him in their lives.
Participate in the 4th annual Christ Is Alive! Essay Contest sponsored by Communication Center:
It’s open to students in grades 3 through 8 who are enrolled in Catholic school or parish religious education.
Only one page. Due March 31, 2023.
Describe a moment when you felt close to God in the past year.
For example, it could have been when you were praying, on a retreat or at Mass. Or it could have been in an answer to one of your prayers, on in the mercy or kindness of someone you know. God is at work in the world all the time. He is close to his people in their daily lives, in all their joys and sorrows. He comforts us, heals us and help us. That's the good news: God is with us! For this essay, think of a time when you felt God was with you and write about it.
If a child in your parish or school wins:
the winner receives $100 and a Bible
the winner’s teacher or catechist receives $100
the winner’s class receives $100 for a class celebration
the winner’s school or parish receives $200
Over $5000 in prizes will be awarded to two winners in each grade. But more importantly, students who participate have a chance to proclaim the Good News that Christ Is Alive!
Visit comcenter.com/christisalive for contest details and entry forms.
You may claim as much time it takes to write the essay as a spiritual work of mercy, parish service or other service
